I thought my first day studying abroad would feel like the start of a movie. It didn’t. I slept on the floor last night, woke up exhausted, and somehow managed to fall straight into the mud on my very first day. My clothes were dirty. My backpack hit the ground too. For a second, I just stood there thinking… seriously? But I got back up, brushed myself off, picked up my bag, and kept walking. Maybe new beginnings aren’t always pretty. Sometimes you start tired, messy, overwhelmed, and completely unprepared. And maybe that’s okay. Because one day, this awkward, muddy little moment might become a story I look back on and smile about. It’s only day one.
